Macerata sorge su di un colle a 315 metri sul livello del mare tra la vallata del fiume Potenza a nord e quella del fiume Chienti a sud; è sita a 25 km a ovest del mare Adriatico e a circa 40 km dall'Appennino umbro-marchigiano (Parco dei Monti Sibillini) La casa è posizionata nel cuore delle Marche, una Regione con incantevoli paesaggi che in pochi chilometri declina dalla montagna al mare. Macerata è una piccola cittadina con un delizioso centro Medievale e tante attrazioni culturali (Palazzo Buonaccorsi, Palazzo Ricci, Museo delle Carrozze).<br />

La perla della città è lo Sferisterio, teatro all’aperto unico al mondo per acustica e bellezza. A Macerata si svolgono un’importante stagione lirica (Macerata Opera Festival) ed un’altrettanto importante rassegna di musica (Musicultura).<br />
